How do I add items to my inventory?
Use the camera to scan your fridge, pantry, or a receipt, speak items aloud with voice input, or add them manually. Scanned items appear as suggestions you can confirm before they’re saved.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Settings inside the app and choose Delete Account, or email support@shelfwise.au and we’ll remove your account and associated data.
Why does the app ask for camera, microphone, or location access?
Each permission powers a specific feature — camera for scanning items and receipts, microphone for voice inventory, and location for matching nearby stores on receipts. They’re all optional and only used while you’re in the app.
Is my data shared with my household?
Inventory, shopping lists, receipts, and meal plans can be shared with members of your household. Personal preferences and profiles stay private to your own account.
How does the AI work, and is it accurate?
AI helps recognize items and suggest meals. Its suggestions are always shown as proposals you can accept or reject — nothing changes in your data automatically. If something looks off, you can correct it.
